This design-build project, completed in collaboration with RMG Building, involved the addition of advanced imaging technology to enhance Emanate Health Queen of the Valley Hospital's cardiac care capabilities. The scope of the project focused on the installation of a state-of-the-art angiography biplane imaging system in the existing cardiac catheterization laboratory, along with the integration of associated equipment in the adjacent control room. This sophisticated system significantly enhances the hospital's ability to perform complex diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures with greater precision and efficiency.
The project encompassed an 875-square-foot area within the hospital. To accommodate the new equipment, careful planning and execution were required to integrate the imaging system into the existing infrastructure. This involved extensive upgrades to structural, electrical, and mechanical systems to ensure the seamless operation of the equipment while adhering to strict healthcare facility standards.
The Cardiac Cath lab is a single-story, 3,207-square-foot facility originally constructed in 1994 as an addition to the main hospital building. As part of this renovation, the design team gave special consideration to preserving the functional integrity of the existing Cath Lab while introducing cutting-edge medical technology. The project reflects a meticulous approach to combining architectural design and technical expertise to support life-saving medical procedures.
This addition not only modernizes the hospital’s cardiac catheterization capabilities but also underscores a commitment to patient care and operational excellence. By enhancing the space, Emanate Health Queen of the Valley Hospital is now better equipped to meet the growing demands of its community, providing advanced diagnostic and treatment options in a highly specialized environment.
